Good morning from a blueberry farm. We have been blessed this year with rain and it sure shows in the plump berries. The harvest is early and most farmers have started their 2021 harvest. We are excited that Governor Mills of Maine has declared this coming August 7 & 8, 2021 as the First Annual Wild blueberry Weekend. We will be one of more than 50 local farms participating in that weekend. On Saturday, August 7, our farm will be open to the public for tours at 10am and 2pm. Visitors can walk the fields as the berries are maturing in the low growing bushes. Those who are interested, can have a go at hand raking the wild berries and having a sample. We will offer blueberries in different quantities for purchase. Though registration is not required for the farm tours, we’d appreciate your interest in attending either the morning or afternoon tours.

It's hard to believe our first harvest is coming to an end. Its been a fast-paced month of early mornings, hot afternoons, stiff necks and sore backs, blueberry stained fingers, calloused raking hands and farmers tans. Its been a joy meeting many returning blueberry enthusiasts who come from near and far for the sweetest berries in Washington County. There were times of discouragement where the drought stressed berries were too small to make it into our clean, wax-lined boxes ready for eager customers. It didn't help that we are in the midst of a pandemic and the floods of summer vacationers were a trickle. We still feel blessed to have been through this summer with a great crew, our farm family. We also feel comforted to know that "it can only get better!" There"s also a freezer full of wild blueberries that we can offer to those who'll stop by the farm for a box or two. Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey of blueberry farming. Whether you just look at the pictures, nibble on sweet berries, create blueberry master pieces, raked through the 90' afternoons, or watched kids and dogs so the farm stayed safe and running, we thank you!
